Admins and students can access the messaging feature by navigating to the Messages tab. Use the search function to look up users. Next, select a user and type your message. Chats will appear in order of the most recent activity.

A red notification will appear when a new incoming message arrives.
You can also message a student from the Students menu by clicking on Actions -> Message students or Message all students.
