The TTRS Main Course is carefully designed to guide students through a structured learning journey, progressing from simple concepts to more advanced spelling and phonetic patterns. While students are encouraged to follow the recommended course sequence, there may be times when you want them to begin their typing session on a particular module.
This feature is useful when:
You want your student to focus on a specific spelling rule or language concept being taught in class.
You need to provide targeted support, revision, or extension activities.
A student has completed modules in a higher level after levels were temporarily unlocked and you would like them to return to the module where they left off.
You want a student to work on content from an earlier or later level based on their learning needs.
How to select a Main Course module for your student
From your admin, parent, or teacher account, go to the Students menu.
Select the student you would like to have start on a particular module.
From the student page, locate the Next Module section and set the desired Level and Module number.
If you're not sure which level and module you would like to set, open the Main Course in a second tab from your admin account and review the level and module descriptors. For example, Level 15 focuses on several important spelling concepts, including plural words that take -es, plurals ending in f that change to v, irregular plurals, collective nouns, contractions with not, and closed and open syllable words. You can select any module from Level 15 even if the student is currently working in a different level.
5. The selected module will become the next module the student sees on their welcome dashboard when they next log in.
How to verify the target module has been set
You can confirm that the module has been set correctly by viewing the student's account.

Additional notes:
This feature works whether student levels are currently locked or unlocked.
Admins, parents, and teachers can select any module within the Main Course.
You can select an earlier module or a module in a later level. For example, if a student is currently on Level 8 Module 23, you can select any other module within the course.
If levels were previously unlocked and later locked again, you can still select any Main Course module.
Your student will see the selected module on their welcome dashboard the next time they log in.
