At Touch-type Read and Spell (TTRS), we are committed to protecting the personal data of our users, whether they are students, educators, or parents. With learners’ privacy at the heart of our multi-sensory approach to improving reading, spelling, typing, and listening skills, we take data protection very seriously.

What is GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a European law introduced a few years ago to regulate how personal data is collected, processed, and stored. Its purpose is to give individuals greater control over their information and ensure organizations handle data responsibly and transparently.

Since GDPR came into effect, we have ensured that TTRS fully complies with its requirements.

How TTRS complies with GDPR

We have taken clear steps to ensure our platform aligns with GDPR standards, including:

  • Clear data processing policies to ensure personal data is handled lawfully and fairly

  • Limited data collection to what is necessary for learning and account management

  • Secure data storage using industry-standard safeguards

  • Providing clear documentation for schools and organizations using TTRS

You can view our most up-to-date Data Processing Addendum (DPA) here:

For clarity, section 4.2 of the DPA explains our data storage arrangements. Our primary server is securely hosted in the Netherlands (EU), ensuring compliance with EU data protection requirements.

Transparency and further information

We aim to make our policies clear and accessible. You can learn more here:

Both documents are available on the readandspell.com website and provide detailed information on how we collect, use, and protect personal data.

Our commitment

As a small educational company focused on multi-sensory learning, trust is essential. We are dedicated to maintaining the highest standards of data protection so that schools, families, and learners can confidently use TTRS while knowing their personal information is secure.
