👤 How to Create a Student Account

  1. Log in to your TTRS Admin Dashboard

  2. Click on Students in the top menu

  3. Click Add Student, then choose one of the following options from the dropdown: get a shareable link, add manually or import from a spreadsheet

  4. Enter the learner’s name, and add an email address (optional), and follow the prompts to add your student.

⏱ Practice Recommendations

  • Aim for 2–3 modules per session, 3–4 times per week

  • Each module takes about 5–10 minutes

  • A full session might be 10–30 minutes, depending on how much your learner can concentrate

  • Encourage repeating complex modules for mastery

  • Keep early sessions short and positive

🏆 Motivation Tips

  • Print certificates or track progress visually using built-in features

  • Use trophies and progress reports to boost confidence

  • Introduce Free Writing as a creative break from typing drills

  • When basic typing skills are developed after Level 3, introduce subject modules on student interests to help motivate regular usage

  • Focus on accuracy first, rather than speed

Many learners are motivated by how their typing improves their ability to spell and express ideas.

💻 Device & App Setup

Browser access

iPad App:

  • Download the free TTRS app from the App Store

  • Use your learner's credentials to log in

  • For best results, pair the iPad with a keyboard

Phones/Tablets:

  • Parents can use the Reporting App to track progress on iOS and Android

🧰 Key Tools: Unlocking Modules & Free Writing

Unlocking Modules:

  • Go to the Admin Dashboard and click the Students menu

  • Select the student’s name

  • Click Unlock all levels from the Levels dropdown to allow them to move around in the course

Free Writing Interface:

  • Learners can access Free Writing sessions from their dashboard

  • They can type paragraphs or full stories

  • Post-writing reports provide feedback on:

    • Number of correctly spelled words

    • Typing speed

  • Admins can view and comment on submitted work

Free Writing helps bridge the gap between copying and composing written work independently.
